HONDURAS
TO BE ADVISED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC
Plans are underway for a potential trip in November 2024 to Honduras, to San Pedra Sula's Garbage Dump. Here you will find a community who call the locals garbage dump home.
Our partners on the ground saw the many needs that these family face under the harsh conditions.
With the help of local government officials enough funds were raised to build a much needed school for children. To provide these children an education and foundation to help them and their families out of their poverty.
The school can be found directly across the entrance into the garbage dump. There are approximately 150 children from the ages of 5 - 15 years of age that are now getting an education.
The one thing that the school is lacking is a play ground for the children to simply allow them to be kids and play. Our project for Honduras is 2 fold; to fundraise for a play ground and to build two homes for 2 families that are desperately in need of a proper home.

HOME BUILD IN HONDURAS
Project One: Home-Build: Fundraise: $4500 CND
Project Two: Playground Build: Fundraise: $3000 CND
One is able to gain insight to the home-building project in San Pedro Sula. Currently the project below is 75% complete and is being built for two families.
The one home is for a widow aged 55 who has been left to raise her 8 year old son. Her husband was brutally murdered leaving her to fend for herself and son.The other home is for a single mother of 3 children. Her two daughters and a son. This will be their first proper home built from brick and mortar, unlike their previous homes of plastic, sticks and corrigated iron. Whatever they could find to have shelter.
The building cost for these 2 home is $4500 CND which includes delivery of material and labor costs.
Our fundraiser for this project is to $4500 CND for two homes to be build for 2 families. Both failies have over 10 children to feed and raise. This is an exciting project that you will witness first hand how your labor of love will change their lives.

One is able to see the homes that are being built and give us the opportunity to see what a home-build looks like in San Pedro Sula. Honduras. Our fundraiser for the trip for November 2021 is to raise funds to be able to build 2 home for two families identified within the community.
